Uncrowded – Writer’s Digest

I’ve lived in Maryland for several years, and one of my favorite things about our area is that we rarely get any snow.

Seems silly, doesn’t it? But after going to college in the mountains of western Pennsylvania and growing up in the heart of Pennsylvania, having no more than 8 inches of snow thrown at us at any point between October and March has been a blessing.

Recently, we got the snow in Maryland. It was almost shocking how much I forgot what happens when it snows so much. Our local playground, always full of kids around 3pm, had two brave souls making a snowman. It was as scary as grainy.

So for today’s prompt, let’s write about somewhere that is empty while it usually isn’t.
